To avoid acne, keep off dried, stewed or tinned fruits, condiments, meats, sugar, strong tea or coffee, pickles, refined and processed foods, soft drinks/sodas, candies, ice cream and foodstuffs prepared with sugar and white flour. Starchy, protein and fatty foods should be restricted. Wash your face at least twice a day using mild soap and use oil free sunscreen lotion while going out.
